Description

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is one of the region’s major academic health centers, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, with outreach programs operating in every county and a regional campus in Northwest Arkansas. UAMS Medical Center is our main teaching hospital and has a total of 514 beds.  Our outpatient clinics are in our new state of the art facility - The Orthopedic and Spine Hospital, and our acute inpatient rehabilitation practice is located in our affiliate - the Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute, which is the largest acute rehabilitation facility in Little Rock and in Arkansas.  

Due to the expansion of our Musculoskeletal Service Line and Department of PM&R, the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences located in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking candidates for several full-time faculty physiatrist positions in the following areas: Musculoskeletal Medicine • General Inpatient Physiatry • General Outpatient Physiatry • PM&R Consultation • Spinal Cord Injury Medicine • Brain Injury Medicine • Electrodiagnosis.  Participation in research, teaching, administrative duties and assignment to a tenure or non-tenure track is negotiable to meet career development goals.  Faculty rank and compensation are commensurate with qualifications and prior experience. Requirements

MD or equivalent • Board Certification/Eligibility in PM&R (within 2 years) • Arkansas medical license/eligibility.  A pre-employment background investigation is performed on candidates selected for employment.
